So far we have had an idea and made some compounds. So first thing we do is test them in some test tube assays to see which ones fit the bill.
In academia you don't always have the resource or skill set to do everything. You can spend a lot of time learning the skills or you can do things jointly and collaborate with experts elsewhere in your university, country or World. So we went to bonnie Scotland to speak with some Docs about doing some testing, which they did.
Our thirty compounds became two, but at least we had some compounds that seemed to fit the bill and were pretty pokey in their activity.
So Academics can work together and we don't all live in silos and dream worlds.
